The Ford Ecosport Platinum Edition - Elegant and safe.

The much awaited Platinum Edition of the EcoSport has been launched by Ford. The car is available with either the 1.5 litre TDCi diesel motor or the 1.0 litre Ecoboost engine. A 1.5-litre diesel churns out 98bhp of max. power and 215Nm of peak torque which delivers a fuel economy of 20 kmpl in city and 22 kmpl on highways. Another is a 1.0-litre Ecoboost engine that develops 120bhp of power and a torque of 170Nm, offering good fuel efficiency of 16 kmpl in city and 18 kmpl on highways.

In features, it comes with six airbags, new 17-inch alloy wheels, tuned up rear and front bumpers, blacked-out roof and fatter tyres. The SUV now comes cruise control.
Inside the cabin, it has rearview camera, built-in GPS navigation with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system which supports DVD playback.
Ford has tried to remove their brand image of high maintenance vehicles by reducing the maintenance cost. The Ford Ecosport competes with the Mahindra Nuvosport, the Mahindra TUV300 and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza amongst compact SUVs.
