Ford has launched the iconic Mustang in India. The muscle car has been priced at Rs 65 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It needs no introduction; ford engineers have re-created the legend only for the Indian market. With a sleek, agile body designed for performance, that’s just right for Indian streets.

In interior, the design is inspired by the classic airplane cockpit. Everything in dashboard has been placed for optimum comfort, feel, and performance. The seats have been set to a low, sporty position. The gear stick and steering wheel feel just right in your hands and are positioned to leave ample clearances for the controls and extra legroom. You feel connected to the road, in complete control, and dialed in for performance.
In exterior, it holds a sharp HID headlamps and signature tri-bar tail lamps. The front muscle hood is aggressive in design that screams energy. It comes in six different shades namely – oxford white, ingot silver, triple yellow tri-coat, magnetic, race red and black.

Mustang GT is powered by a 5.0-litre, Ti-VCT V8 engine which develops 401PS of power and 515Nm of torque. The V8 engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission that helps to do 0 to 100kmph in 5.6 seconds. It comes with different selectable drive modes namely - normal, sport, sport+ and snow/wet. The sports car is loaded with many features like - electronic stability control (ESC), electronic line-lock (a tech aid to help pull off a clean burnout) and traction control.
Talking of technology, the Mustang GT gets an Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS), Carbon coated Paddle Shifters, ABS with EBD. In features, you get a touchscreen infotainment system, Ford MyKey, keyless entry, and a push-button start/stop system.
Since its launch, the Mustang takes the crown of the best-selling sports car in India with 35 units sold.
